Respectful Retirement of Aged and Deteriorated Quran Prints and Islamic Books

Dear Community Members,

Humanity and Community First Inc. is honored to announce our ongoing Collection Drive for aged, worn, or deteriorated prints of the Holy Quran and Islamic books containing sacred texts. This initiative is undertaken with utmost respect and care to ensure that these materials are retired in a manner that honors their sanctity, following the Islamic principles and under the guidance.

How You Can Contribute

We have placed designated collection boxes at various mosques and community locations to facilitate the respectful retirement of these materials. We kindly request your support by contributing:

  • Pages containing Quranic verses or religious scriptures.
  • Islamic books that are worn, damaged, or no longer suitable for use.

Please place these items in the designated collection boxes. To maintain the integrity of this process, we respectfully ask that you do not include:

  • Sharp objects, glass, metal, leather, or rubber items.
  • Decorative pieces, wall hangings, or non-text materials.

Book Reuse and Distribution

As part of our commitment to fostering knowledge and community welfare, we will display usable books from the collection at our Centre for free distribution.

You are warmly invited to:

  • Visit our Centre on weekends to browse and take any book free of charge.
  • Keep the book or return it after reading, as you prefer.
  • Exchange unwanted Islamic books for others in the collection.

Additionally, we ship usable, unwanted books to communities in need worldwide, where they can benefit those with limited access to Islamic resources.
